Throw An Egg Offline Earnings: How to Set Up Before Logging Off and Collect When You Return

Throw An Egg earns and hatches offline. Fill your plot, keep your best pet equipped and log off — here's the pre-AFK setup and what to collect when you return.

Throw An Egg keeps working while you're away — the game's own description promises it "EARNS AND HATCHES OFFLINE!!!". Eggs sitting on your plot keep hatching and your money keeps climbing even with the game closed. Your part is simple: before you log off, give the game as much to work with as possible, then come back and collect.

Set up before you log off

  1. Collect eggs and carry them home. Eggs come from throwing them out in the world — carry each one back and place it on your plot, where it hatches. Hatching eggs is how you earn money, so every placed egg is income waiting to happen. Need more catches per run? See how to collect eggs and how to throw farther.

  2. Fill every space on your plot. Plot space is finite, so keep placing eggs until your base is completely full — that's what maximizes what hatches while you're gone. Each egg runs its own hatch timer, and the times vary by egg: in one session, a divine egg needed 30 minutes while another egg showed 56 minutes, so a longer absence lets more timers finish. Working on egg quality too? Check how to get rare eggs before your next session.

  3. Keep your best pet equipped. If you own the paid companion pet, leave it equipped and don't remove it: it stays at the top of your earnings, paying 200% of your best pet's rate, and its payout climbs whenever you hatch something better.

  4. Log off. No idle screen needed — eggs and earnings continue offline.

What to do when you return

  • Open your finished eggs. Walk your plot: eggs whose timers completed during your absence are ready, and you open them yourself to hatch each pet. Any egg that isn't done still shows its remaining time and keeps counting — in one session, after roughly 20 minutes away, a 27-minute egg was still ticking while everything else could be hatched.
  • Tap equip best. After hatching, use the equip best option so your strongest pet drives income. Each new pet earns money per second automatically and replaces weaker earners. In one session, a griffin hatch made 7,400 per second while the equipped companion pet sat at 14,700 — exactly double.
  • Restock and go again. Throw a fresh batch of eggs and refill the plot before your next break. Timers vary by egg type, so compare hatch times to see what will be ready when you get back. For the bigger money picture, see how to earn money.

Optional paid boosts

The shop sells a 3X Offline Reward developer product for R$12, an optional boost to what you earn while away — its exact stacking behavior isn't documented, so treat it as a nice-to-have, not a requirement.

Separately, skip-timer products let you finish egg timers instantly while you're playing: Skip Common Egg timer (R$3), Skip Uncommon Egg Timer (R$7) and Skip Rare Egg Timer (R$12). These speed up waiting during a session — they don't change how offline hatching works.
