Throw An Egg Noob to Pro: Upgrade Order Guide (No Robux)

Push throws, hatches, and income in the right order: power, speed, plot space, then rebirths. A complete no-Robux Throw An Egg progression route.

Push power → speed → plot space → rebirths, in that order, and every session's money in Throw An Egg goes straight into the next useful upgrade — all bought with in-game cash, no Robux required. Throw power sends your eggs into zones with better multipliers, speed makes sure the tsunami doesn't take them back off you, plot space turns every recovered egg into a money-earning animal, and rebirths multiply the whole cycle. If you haven't started yet, the beginner guide covers your first throws; this page is about where the money goes after that.

Why this order works

Money in Throw An Egg comes from one repeating loop: throw an egg from the throw zone as far as your power allows, run back ahead of the chasing tsunami, place the egg on your plot, and the hatched animal earns money per second. If the tsunami catches you on the run back, that egg is lost — and eggs also earn and hatch while you're offline.

So an upgrade only pays off when it keeps this loop running. Power pushes your throws up the zone ladder — Plains/Forest, Desert, Snow, Mushroom, Candy Land, Volcano, and Space, with farther tiers like Sakura and Prismatic named beyond — and each step up holds rarer, higher-multiplier eggs, as long as your speed can get you back with the egg intact.

The spending order at a glance

PrioritySpend onWhat it buys you
1Weights and arm trainingMore throw power, so eggs land in zones with higher multipliers
2Speed upgradeOutrunning the tsunami on the return run
3Farm/pen expansionSlots, so a full plot never blocks a recovered egg
4RebirthA permanent power and money multiplier
5Trails (optional)Extra walking speed for the run home

1. First money: weights and training

Buy weights with in-game money and lift at the training station to raise your power. Early tiers are cheap — a 500 weight is an entry buy, 2,000 is an early step up, and bigger tiers around 5,000 and 15,000 climb into the millions later. Hit the 2x button to finish each training session faster. Every power gain stretches your throws toward zones with rarer, higher-multiplier eggs; our weights guide and how to throw farther page break down the training itself.

2. Before far throws: speed

Speed is a separate upgrade, and it comes before you chase a far zone. Some zones have extra fast tsunamis, and players who pushed a long throw before upgrading speed lost the egg — or barely escaped with it. The rule of thumb: if a throw would land farther than anything you've retrieved before, top up speed first. You can watch the wave closing in during the return run, so you'll know how much margin you have; more on the chase in how to survive tsunami.

3. Keep the plot hatching

Place every egg you bring home. The plot has limited slots, and a full plot blocks new eggs until things hatch or you expand — one observed expansion cost 15,000. Timers grow with rarity: about 16–20 seconds for early eggs, roughly 3 minutes for mid tiers, 30–60+ minutes for Divine, and hours for the biggest. Since hatching continues offline, drop your long timers on the plot before logging off, then use hatch all / grow all to open everything that's ready at once, and equip best to put your strongest earners to work. The exact timers live on our hatch times page, and the placing-and-hatching process in how to hatch eggs.

4. Rebirth when it compounds

Rebirthing resets your money, speed, and power — but grants a permanent increase in physical power and an increasing money multiplier. The cost climbs each time: 2,000, then 8,000, 16,000, and 32,000 in one observed run. Because rebirth wipes speed and power, re-buy speed and weights immediately afterward; with the multiplier active you rebuild quickly and throw farther than you could before. The rhythm that works: earn until the next rebirth is within reach, rebirth, re-buy the basics, repeat.

5. Extras once the core is funded

  • Trails add walking speed, which directly helps the return run. Prices scale with tier — a ~2.5k trail early on, the 60k Sunset trail mid-game, and multi-million Emerald and Crimson trails later.
  • Luck rings: every throw gets a quality rating such as Excellent or Perfect, eggs show their rarity multiplier, and rings in the landing area multiply rewards when you hit them — 2x luck or x8 and x20 multipliers show up. Aiming for the circles is free extra value on every throw.

Free money to claim while you save

Regular play keeps handing out cash and animals with no purchases: wheel spins (money amounts — one spin even produced a Pegasus), the daily/mystery egg given after the tutorial, gift/claim popups, and Index rewards for collecting animals. Claim these before saving up for a big weight, an expansion, or a rebirth — they fund the early ladder. Active codes can add to this too; our codes page keeps the current list.

Proof the route works without Robux

One documented noob-to-pro session states no Robux was spent at all. Starting from a first common cat earning about $9 per second, the player climbed through the 500/5k/15k weight tiers, repeated rebirths, upgraded speed, and prismatic eggs to roughly $131,000+ per second — funded along the way by gifts, spins, Index rewards, and rebirth multipliers. That's one player's single-session result rather than a guaranteed rate, but it shows the full route runs on normal gameplay: throw, hatch, and reinvest — in that order.
