Throw An Egg Beginner Guide: Complete Your First Cycle
Start Throw An Egg the right way: throw your first egg, outrun the tsunami, hatch it on your plot, and turn hatched animals into steady cash every second.
Throw An Egg looks chaotic at first — you hurl an egg, turn into it, and get chased home by a tsunami — but your first full cycle only takes a few minutes. Here is exactly what happens: you walk to the throw zone and press the button, sprint back to your plot ahead of the giant wave, place the egg down, hold the interact button once its timer finishes, and the animal inside starts paying you cash every second. Then you spend that cash on weights and speed, so the next throw goes further and the run home gets safer.
The loop in one breath
The game's own description sums up the cycle: throw the egg and hope it's huge, run from the giant tsunami, place your collected eggs on your plot to hatch, hatch them to earn money, and buy weights to train your arms to throw further.
The chase is the twist: after you throw, you become the egg, and something huge chases you home. Make it back and the egg hatches on your plot. Get caught and the egg is gone.

Step 1: Collect your starter rewards
A fresh account starts with a short tutorial that walks you through your first throw, a training session and a speed-up step. You also get free starter gifts — a mystery egg that opens on a short timer and a free spin are typical, and one new player also received $5,000 in starting cash. The exact gifts can vary between sessions, so just claim whatever is offered before your first throw. A quick look at the Codes page is worth it too, in case there are free boosts waiting.
Step 2: Throw your first egg
Head to the throw zone, walk up to the throw spot and press the button there. Do not expect distance on attempt one: your arms are weak when you start, so the egg barely travels. On one fresh account, the very first throw was a perfect throw and still only produced a common 24x egg — a completely normal result for a first attempt. Better distance comes later, through training and weights.
Step 3: Outrun the tsunami
The moment the egg lands, the race home begins. Run straight back to your plot — if the chaser catches you, the egg is gone. Escaping comes down to speed. Short first throws are survivable at base speed, but as your throws stretch farther, buy the speed upgrade with in-game cash. One player who skipped it was nearly caught mid-run, bought the upgrade, and outran the wave easily afterwards; trails from the shop add walking speed on top. More on staying ahead of the wave in the tsunami survival guide.
Step 4: Place the egg on your plot and hatch it
Back home, place the collected egg at your base. It sits there hatching on a visible timer. When the timer finishes, hold the interact button to open it — a tap is not enough, you have to hold it. If you want a deeper look at gathering eggs during the run, see how to collect eggs, and the hatch times page covers what the timers look like.
Step 5: Start earning
Whatever hatches goes to work on your plot, earning cash every second. One fresh account's first hatch was a common cat that paid $9 per second — your animal and its rate may differ. Per the game's description, eggs also hatch and earn while you are offline, so anything you place keeps paying after you log out. The offline earnings page goes deeper.
Step 6: Spend the cash and throw again
Early cash has clear uses — weights, speed (plus trails) and a bigger pen, all bought with in-game cash rather than Robux. Alongside them, lift at the dumbbell training station to build power:
- Weights — raise your throw power so eggs fly farther.
- Speed — the speed upgrade plus trails keep your escapes safe as distances grow.
- A bigger pen — upgrade your plot area so it can hold more animals, and more income.
- Dumbbell training — lift at the training station to build power. Training runs slowly by default, but a 2x button doubles the pace, and finishing a session grants a free egg. The weights guide covers the upgrades.
Then walk back to the throw zone and run the whole cycle again. Every loop adds another earner to your plot, and each upgrade makes the next cycle a little easier — stronger throws, safer escapes and more room to earn.
